TECHNIQUES

Chiropractic Care

Dr Schultze uses state of the art techniques to assess and treat each patient. These include knowledge gathered over many years from seminars and conferences in providing healthcare to her patients. She utilizes information from Myotonic Facilitation, Kinesiologic Muscle Testing, Vector Point Cranial Therapy, Nimmo, BodyTalk, AnimalTalk, Enengy Balancing, Freeman Technique, Reflexology, Visceral Manipulation, Acupressure, Stretching Exercises, Reciprocals, and more.

Dr Schultze believes that careful examination of muscles and organs as well as the spine gives an in-depth picture of overall health. She uses a variety of diagnostic and treatment methods and tools in her examination.

Spinal adjustments are made using Advanced Vector Point Cranial Therapy techniques learned over many years. There are specific points on the head that represent each spinal level. These points are used to release misaligned vertebrae. This is a very gentle, non-force approach.

Using Myotonic Facilitation—a technique based on restoring function and strength to muscles, Dr Schultze uses direct muscle testing to determine the status of specific muscles. The weak muscles are then strengthened thus regaining their ability to function optimally.

Acupressure, reflexology and specific soft tissue massage may be used to balance energy in the body.

She also uses an adjusting instrument called the Arthro-Stim to make non-force adjustments. It facilitates therapy to bones, muscles and ligaments.

Dr Schultze has studied and integrated new learning into her practice throughout her career enabling her to more effectively bring healing into the lives of her patients.

BodyTalk

The iceburg shows how much is hidden beneath the surface of what we show the world

BodyTalk is a method of healing that focuses on enhancing the body’s natural synchronization. The resulting harmony enables the body to repair itself more rapidly. BodyTalk recognizes that in each one of us there is an inherent knowing of who we are and what makes our bodies work. This innate wisdom contains the answers to our health and it is accessed through BodyTalk to assist in bringing the body to balance.

Needs on the physiological, biochemical, circulatory, nervous, emotional and/or energy levels may be addressed. A formula for increased well-being is revealed. To implement the formula, the practitioner taps lightly on the head to focus the brain toward repair and taps lightly on the sternum to store the changes in the heart energy complex. This insures that the new balance is retained in deep memory and is therefore long-lasting.

BodyTalk is simple, safe and fast. It is effective as a stand-alone healthcare system and can be seamlessly integrated into chiropractic and other healthcare systems.

Dr Schultze with Dr Herbert Freeman developer of the Freeman Technique

Freeman Technique

Dr Herbert Freeman has been in chiropractic practice for 45 years in Keizer Oregon. He has spent the past 30 plus years developing a technique which addresses the nervous system through the use of “enhanced palpation” and adjustments using an instrument called the ArthroStim. This technologically advanced instrument allows adjustments to be made very gently to bone, muscle and ligaments.

Enhanced Palpation allows the doctor to determine where to work and in what order to best meet the needs of the patients. The body is scanned very lightly with the hand while the doctor constantly monitors the feedback received from this touch. It allows for the smooth merging of mind, muscle and consciousness. Dr Freeman continually upgrades his technique as his knowledge increases and Dr Schultze has appreciated her opportunity to learn this advanced technique from him.

wellness animal talk

Animal Talk

Dr Schultze utilizes AnimalTalk in working with animals to bring balance into their lives. Like BodyTalk, it is an energy therapy. It is intended to balance the bodymind of the animal, release emotional distress, and promote relaxation. Every animal responds uniquely to BodyTalk and each session will be a unique experience to both the animal and owner. If the animal is brought into the office, he is allowed to be free in the treatment room, or may remain in a carrier if he is more comfortable there.

Energy circuits within the animal that have become disengaged are reconnected, restoring communication within the body. The owner becomes the surrogate for the animal during a session. AnimalTalk promotes healing in emotional as well as physical conditions. AnimalTalk is intended to serve as a complementary practice to veterinarian care and is not a substitute for it.

An In Depth Look At Vector Point Cranial Therapy

The spinal cord and brain have a protective covering over them to prevent injury to these sensitive structures. It is called the dura mater or “tough mother”. It covers the cord and lines the bones of the head attaching to the suture lines where the bones come together. When a bone shifts out of alignment, it places stress or torque on the dura mater locally. The resulting twist then reflexes up to its corresponding point in the dura mater lining the bones of the head (cranium), creating a reflex twist.

David G. Denton, D.C., D.I.C.S. the developer of Vector Point Cranial Therapy discovered that all of the musculoskeletal structures of the body are systematically represented on the cranium. Distinct areas of the skull are directly analogous to the vertebrae, ribs, pelvis and extremities. By simultaneously compressing two or more specific vector points on or near the cranial sutures and/or on the cervical spine (he) could effect a release of stress.

By using Vector Point Cranial Therapy, we are removing the mechanical stress at the suture and simultaneously reprogramming and reactivating the ‘biocomputer’ with updated instructions. This supersedes the previous neurological stimulus-response and replaces it with one which corrects the subluxation and allows the body to heal itself naturally.

CARE FOR INJURIES

People who have been injured receive gentle comprehensive chiropractic care in this office. They are in pain and frequently overwhelmed by the trauma they’ve experienced. This may be as the result of an automobile collision, sports injury, falls, or other trauma. They need care they can count on to bring relief of pain and begin a healing process. Their injuries are documented and they receive chiropractic adjustments using non-force methods which release the trauma and allow the brain to begin functioning in a recovery mode.

In other words, when there is an injury, the brain goes into ‘fight or flight’ and all its efforts are focused on survival. This focus may not automatically be released and will add increased stress as well as pain. By reconnecting the two sides of the brain and allowing them to communicate effectively, recovery can begin much more quickly.

When there is trauma, muscles and ligaments are injured too. This leads to pain and swelling both in the muscles as well as around joints. Decreased ranges of motion follow. By strengthening muscles that have been injured, and adjusting traumatized joints and ligaments, energy once again can flow and healing begin. In Wellness Chiropractic Center, both of these goals are attained using advanced techniques that are both gentle and effective. Frequently Dr Schultze refers patients for professional massage therapy and/or physical therapy in addition to chiropractic care to facilitate recovery.

Dr Schultze finds that treating people who have been injured is very rewarding. The opportunity to be part of facilitating their recovery is one of the benefits of her job. Pain decreases, function increases, and smiles return.

MultiPure Drinking Water Systems

Dr Schultze is dedicated to optimizing the health of her patients. Being well hydrated is very important. To facilitate this, she advocates drinking the safest water available. MultiPure has been in business for over 35 years and manufactures the most effective carbon block filters available in both countertop and under-counter water filtration systems. They filters 750 gallons of water and must be replaced yearly, or sooner if needed. They can remove particles as small as 0.5 microns. They are very cost effective allowing water to be drawn for only $.08 a gallon.

The NSF, which does independent water testing, has certified it to reduce more contaminants that any other filtration system.
