About Wellness Chiropractic Center
Since 1990, it has been located in downtown Lake Oswego, Oregon on a quiet street within walking distance of Lake Oswego's famous shopping centers.
Chiropractic visits are designed to bring optimal balance and harmony to each person seeking care. Since our bodies operate on many different levels, healing is approached considering physical, mental, energetic, and biochemical needs.
Physically, non-force adjustments are accomplished using Vector Point Cranial Therapy™. The covering of the spinal cord (dura mater) protects this delicate structure. When a bone moves out of alignment, it twists the dura in the area overlying the bone. That twist reflexes up to its unique reflex point in the dura that lines the bones of the skull. By contacting these specific reflex points and tractioning the spinal cord with breathing, the twists are released and allow the bones to move back into alignment.
Energetically, muscles, organs and the spine are all interconnected sending and receiving reflexes indicating areas that are out of balance. Muscles relate to organs and to the spine. For example, the muscles around the neck accept reflexes from the stomach and from a vertebra between the shoulder blades. If there is an injury to the neck, the muscles will spasm and send a reflex to the stomach as well as to the vertebra between the shoulder blades leading to a subluxation (mal-position) with accompanying pain and perhaps gastric distress or reflux. Now the neck hurts, there is stomach discomfort as well as pain between the shoulder blades. Balancing the energy through acupressure, visceral manipulation, and soft tissue massage, brings strength into the muscles, and helps release the spasm.
Biochemically we literally are what we eat and frequently the foods we crave are those for which allergies exist. Allergy testing is available as well as nutritional suggestions from supplements to food choices.
Mental and emotional balancing are included in the complete visit. Each organ has it's own unique consciousness and needs. These may be addressed through other avenues such as BodyTalk.
